Sin twists things all around. It causes us to see and perceive things that aren't really there.

Reading this takes someone with a Jewish mindset back to Deuteronomy 6. The first word for "hear" in verse 1 is the Hebrew word “Shama.”
Proverbs 28:1
When you live in a world of lies, manipulation, or deception, you can never be still and must keep moving. This is one of the downfalls to social media.
Proverbs 27:14
Suppose your spouse, or somebody in your home, comes staggering out to breakfast and goes to get coffee but it's all gone. They moan but think, "I have other options" so they open the refrigerator to get some juice, only to find that it expired two weeks ago.
Proverbs 20
Most churches and pastors don't encourage us to think deeply about politics. In fact, in many churches, I have heard leadership say that political issues are "not what we are about" or "should be avoided" while at church.

It's true that you can gain money, fame, and influence through wicked means. However, in the end it will be a loss. ⠀

"Be like the ant." This is a theme in the book of Proverbs. We often look for gurus in life and work. Maybe we should go out and learn from such a simple creature as the ant.⠀
