STAY FOCUSED IN Q4

Don't allow these 6 distractions to get you off track in Q4:

☔️ Weather - There will be rainy & cold days. This shouldn't surprise you! Be ready to have days where you're stuck at home. Decide now how you'll use these days to grow your business. Maybe these are days you'll make an extra 50 calls or write ten handwritten notes. Whatever it is, plan ahead.⠀

🎄 Holidays, parties, and vacations - Between holiday parties, vacations, days off, etc., Q4 flies by. Most of us have less than 52 production days left in 2019! Take out a calendar and decide now which days you're going to work, which days you're not going to work & stick to it. When you are off, enjoy those days & truly be off, & on workdays be disciplined & truly be at work.⠀

🥧 Food - From Halloween candy, Thanksgiving, extra desserts at Christmas, & work parties, Q4 is filled w opportunities to enjoy some great food & drinks. Enjoy these, but do it with intention. Realize the effect that food has on our bodies (physically & mentally) & set clear limits on what you're going to do. Don't take a 3-month hiatus from your physical health.⠀

💸 Money - Q4 can get expensive! Retail stores are using every tool they possibly can to manipulate you into spending more & spending now. Before the ads come & before the emotions are high, decide how much you're going to spend. Be creative - choose meaning over money.⠀

📊 Q1-Q3 - We can allow the first 9 months of the year to be a significant distraction. It could be the success or the failure we had in Q1-Q3 that we allow to get us off track in Q4. Set clear goals for what you want to accomplish & reverse engineer it so you have clear steps on how to achieve it.⠀

🙁 Yourself - Q4 is a reflective time. Friends will ask you about your year; memories will pop up on FB, you'll be reminded of goals that you did or didn't make. For many people, the end of the year is a down or melancholy season. Don't get caught in the expectations of others on how you're supposed to feel. The closing of one season is required to start the next. This isn't always an easy thing for us to embrace. Share & be open w/ those around you how you feel. Lead yourself well through this season.

-Greg
