MARCH READING LIST

Here’s my reading list for the month of March:

Upstream: The Quest to Solve Problems Before They Happen by Dan Heath. This is a new book that just came out and the first that is written by Dan without his brother as the co-author. As you likely know, I've been a fan of their other books such as The Power of Moments and Switch.

The Motive: Why So Many Leaders Abdicate Their Most Important Responsibilities by Patrick Lencioni. This is another book that just came out. It appears to take the same format as Ideal Team Player and The Five Dysfunctions of a Team, which is the first 2/3 is a fable followed by an explanation of the model. This one is on the motivation of the leader.

Black and TanBlack & Tan: A Collection of Essays and Excursions on Slavery, Culture War, and Scripture in America by Douglas Wilson. This book looks at race in American history. I know very little about this book but one that I'm looking forward to.

While I'm on the Douglas Wilson train, I thought I would check out his new book Ploductivity. It's a short book on the theology of work.

Untamed: Reactivating A Missional Form Of Discipleship by Alan Hirsch. This is a re-read. The first time I read this book was back around 2010. Alan is both a challenging and thoughtful thinker on what it looks like to live a purposeful and missional life.

Coaching Life-Changing Small Group Leaders: A Comprehensive Guide for Developing Leaders of Groups and Teams by Bill Donahue. A few months ago, Tiffany and I were asked to coach a group of small group leaders at Rush Creek. This past week they gave us this book to read.

Rediscovering Americanism: And the Tyranny of Progressivism by Mark Levin. I haven't heard anything from Levin in a long time so I'm not 100% sure what to expect. Listening to this one via Audible.

Podcast:

Malcolm Gladwell's new season of Broken Record is out, and I can't wait to dive in.

Something is going to be a little different this month. Instead of giving a book summary at the end of the month, I'm going to do one every week. So stay tuned for updates!

What about you?  What are you doing to engage ideas this month?
